Production of the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon started in 1976. The United States Air Force wanted General Dynamic to produce a fighter that had multiple roles in the sky.
Key features of the aircraft include a frameless bubble canopy, a side-mount control stick, and an injection seat reclined back 30 degrees.
Eventually, in 1993 Lockheed Martin bought General Dynamic.
